Replica Viking Earrings from a Rus Viking Grave, Displaying Two Courting Collared Doves as a Symbol of Love.
Very few earrings have been found in the Viking age, but these represent the trading routes to the east when the Rus Vikings travelled as far as Constantinople.
They are made from solid silver using the lost wax process the Viking used, but the originals were fashioned in gold as a display of wealth and status.
