For guitar duet.

Dance and Contemplation is a two-part piece that represents in general the polarity, that exists in every relationship and is needed for the character of both pols. White can only exist when there could be black, day is only “day” because there is also night, and coldness needs heat to be identified.
The same dualities can be found in social relationships and mental conditions. Loneliness is taking turns with sociability. Euphoria already has disillusionment in it. And when you´re alone in the morning after a night out where you were surrounded by a lot of people – you could feel this polarity. Day causes night, love causes hate. And Dance causes Contemplation.
The piece was composed in September and October 2018.
First performance: May 2, 2019. Robert-Schumann-Konservatorium Zwickau.
