Also known as the European chicken, our Guinea Hens are raised by small family owned and operated farms in Upstate New York. These 100% all natural Birds are great foragers in nature. Although there is plenty of food to find on the farm, they are supplemented an all vegetarian feed to ensure consistency in quality while maturing.
Fossil Farms’ Guinea Hens are the perfect bird to oven roast. Our farm partners utilize the “Never Ever Program”, where antibiotics, hormones and steroids are never used. These free roaming birds also have a very high yield compared to other game birds. Their great yield is contributed to having less tendons in the leg and thigh area. Having a slightly stronger flavor profile than chicken, Guinea Hens are remarkably tender.
